Large SUV Rental
A large SUV rental is the way to go if you are looking for something rugged and also something that will carry all the people and luggage that you need to carry. Here at Beverly Hills Rent A Car, we have many different large SUVs to choose from. If you are looking for a different SUV variety then try clicking on one of the links to the right. Below is a look at what you can expect from a large SUV rental from Beverly Hills.
Chevy Suburban
The Chevy Suburban is one of those vehicles that once its name is mentioned, you can instantly recognize its design. The Chevy Suburban is the first veteran of the full-size SUV segment. The four-door Suburban has enough interior space to seat nine people comfortably. The Chevy Suburban's instrument panel and cluster have been redesigned to accommodate the increased processing power of its electrical system. The Suburban also features a dual-zone manual-control heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Additional standards include cruise control, 6-way power front seats, remote keyless entry and an AM/FM/CD player.
The Suburban never has, and never will, evade its duties as a high-performance SUV. Inside is a Vortec 5.3-liter V8 that pumps out 285 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 325 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. A 4 speed automatic transmission takes care of all the shifting, all the time. A battery rundown protection automatically turns off the headlamps, park lamps and interior lights after 10 minutes if left on inadvertently.
GMC Yukon
The Yukon has become the full-size SUV class's fastest growing vehicle family, in part because of its spacious seating and tested performance features. The other part is the Yukon's perfect blend of comfort, safety and style.
With up to nine passengers, the Yukon pushes the family vehicle where it never thought possible. There is extraordinary roominess inside the Yukon, as the trunk is large enough to store whatever can't fit up front. The Yukon's comes with an AM/FM CD/cassette player, tri-zone automatic climate control, power steering, tilt leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control and 6-way power front seats with lumbar adjustment are just part of the package.
The Yukon is no slouch, with a 4.8-liter Vortec V8 engine with 275 horsepower and 4-speed automatic transmission. Standard electronic throttle control and new oxygen sensors for all Vortec V8s improve drivability, fuel economy and emissions. Oxygen sensors light off more quickly and only draw current when needed.
Ford Expedition
The Ford Expedition is a full-size SUV with plenty of ruggedness and a long list of performance features. But it is the interior styling that really sets the Ford Expedition apart, as it offers a surprisingly refined cabin filled with features that result in both passenger and driver comfort.
The four-door Ford Expedition is a full-size SUV in every sense of the word. With a wheelbase of 119 inches, the Expedition can seat up to nine people without a problem. It is designed with a convenient layout for large families who also have a taste for adventure. The Expedition becomes even more practical with a first-in-the-industry power fold-down 3rd-row seat, allowing owners to easily increase the trunk space to accommodate a large volume of goods.
Performance certainly is not an issue with the Expedition. The standard engine, a 4.6-liter V8 capable of 232 horsepower at 4750 rpm and 291 lb-ft of torque at 3450 rpm, gets up to speed very quickly; no matter how much weight it is carrying. New independent rear suspension greatly improves the Expedition's ability to track uneven pavement or terrain for improved ride comfort and control. Safety is added with standard antilock 4-wheel brakes, a brake assist feature and dual front airbags.
