The BMW Z4The Z4 is BMW’s two-seat roadster that was redesigned for 2009 and features a two-piece power folding roof for the first time. Previously offered as a coupe as well as a roadster, the new Z4 hardtop offers not only the obvious additional protection during inclement weather, but also features larger side windows and rear glass for improved driver visibility. The Z4 has evolved from the Z3, the first of a new wave of German roadsters that was introduced in early 1996. The Z3 was the first BMW roadster to be sold in America since 1959, when the legendary 507 was discontinued. While the Z3 featured retro styling that was reminiscent of classic roadsters, the Z4 featured modern flame-surface styling when it debuted for 2003. The 2009 Z4 continues as a classic roadster design.
